Dr. Nicholas Divan is a Southern California native, who developed a love for swimming at a very young age that led to a successful swim career with the Mission Viejo Nadadores, a local swim team in Southern California. As a team member with Nadadores, he swam to multiple US Open and USA Swimming National Championship meets.
Nicholas earned a scholarship to the University of Iowa and a spot on the varsity swim squad along with his brother, Paul Divan IV. While attending Iowa, he majored in Interdepartmental Health Studies and Psychology. After competing successfully for Iowa, Nicholas took a year off from school to train and eventually compete in the 2008 USA Swimming Olympic Trials in the 1500m freestyle. In 2015 Nick competed in his first triathlon at Muncie 70.3.
Following his tenure at Iowa, Nicholas attended Logan University College of Chiropractic where he obtained his Doctorate in Chiropractic and was on the Dean’s List 7 times. He is currently working on his Master’s degree in Sports Rehabilitation.
Nick brings both his extensive swimming background and his knowledge of body mechanics to his athletes. He teaches swimmers from novice to advanced. Nick uses both pool side instruction and video analysis to give athletes the best instruction possible. Nick is a natural teacher and his calm demeanor and patience are huge assesets to any swimmer looking to improve his or her skills in the water.
